Code of Conduct

Club Officials and Volunteers

The club aims to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and practice in Table Tennis and expects the same of club officials and volunteers acting on behalf of the club.

All officials and volunteers should:

  • consider the well being and safety of participants at all times;
  • contribute to a positive club ethos, based on mutual trust and respect;
  • ensure all activities are appropriate to the age, ability and experience of participants;
  • promote fair play;
  • uphold high standards of behaviour and appearance;
  • abide by all the club’s rules, policies and codes of conduct and follow club guidelines;
  • never exert undue influence over participants to obtain personal benefit or reward;
  • never condone rule violations nor the use of prohibited substances;
  • treat everyone equally regardless of age, gender, ethnic origin, religion, political persuasion, sexual orientation or disability;
  • encourage all club members to use their skills and talents whether as players, officials or volunteers to contribute to the success of the club;
  • attend appropriate volunteer training courses provided by the ETTA and other recognised agencies e.g. Sport England, Sports Coach UK or local authority;
  • complete a personal disclosure form and return it to the Club Volunteer Co-ordinator.
