MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN 2011-2012
I am pleased to welcome you all to a new season. I wish all the teams a good season both in Bradford and Leeds plus the British League - play hard but fair, but most important of all enjoy your matches. This year we have ten teams competing in Leeds and in the Bradford league one team in the third division. In the Senior British League we have two teams competing in division three north and one in division five north. The club has also one team competing in the National Cadet League. The Club has a strong commitment to development on all fronts and this year should see players wearing kit with the new Pudsey logo.
The Club want to give chances to the up and coming players of all levels and the we have a coaching session which is run between 7.00 and 9.00 pm on Monday nights at Richmond Hill. The cost is just £4.
The Club also promotes table tennis in schools all over the Leeds area and have several coaches in schools finding new talent to filter though to the Club. The current cadets and juniors attending coaching have the potential to be real stars of the future.
Many of you attend the tournament circuit competing at Junior, Senior and Veteran, so have a good season individually and help promote the good name of the Club.
Finally the Club welcomes all new players for the new season. On a sad note I have to tell you that Joanna Roberts has had to retire due to a long term injury, but I do hope we will see Jo working in some capacity for the Club.
