A-Team Back On Song

Pudsey Table Tennis Club's A Team recovered from the shock of dropping a point last week in remarkable style. With the return of Yorkshire men's captain Simon Noutch to the team, Pudsey put a strong Dewsbury team to the sword 9-1. Noutch and Simon Pugh won all their matches three straight. Joanna Roberts contributed with two victories, only losing to Yorkshire number one veteran Richard Lightowler.

In division three Pudsey G must be still wondering how they did not win. They led 4-2 but managed to lose the last four games. Two wins for Linda Sanderson and a win for Steve Smith and one for Maurice Wrigley in his debut in division 3.

Pudsey J in division 5 picked up their first victory of the season 7-3 over New Farnley. Pudsey’s Yorkshire cadet girl Ellen Auty was the star of the show winning all three in straight games. Gavin Morris also won three and these two also combined to win the doubles.

Pudsey K suffered a hard fought 7-3 loss being on the wrong end in three of the matches that went to five games. One win each for Elana McClements, Mike Noble and young cadet Tim Mcdonald.
