England Honour for Young Pudsey Coach

 Pudsey Table Tennis young coach twenty year old Chris Parker has been named as the Etta young coach of the year by the English Table Tennis Association. This ward recognises the important work carried out by up and coming coaches through their coaching achievements to date. Chris was cited for his commitment, dedication and his organisational ability in coaching that has seen many young Yorkshire players improve quickly.

Chris (20) pictured with his trophy from Charlie Childs the ETTA Coaching officer received his award at the English open event in Sheffield last weekend.

Chris is a product of the Pudsey coaching system and has represented Yorkshire from cadet, Junior and senior level but now mainly focuses on bringing on the future table tennis stars.

Chris said: “he was highly delighted and surprised to receive the award and would like to express his thanks to all the coaches who have helped him develop.”

< Chris works two nights a week for Pudsey where he has been mentored by Senior coach Peter Thompson.  Four of the current Pudsey crop of youngsters is currently representing the county. He works regularly with Yorkshire regional coach Sally Shutt and is an invaluable asset to the Yorkshire regional development squads.
