The start of the Leeds League season this week in Division one saw last year title winners Pudsey A resume their winning ways with a comfortable 9-1 over Leeds Judean.

The team must be strong favourites for the title strengthen by the addition of former player Simon Pugh. The B team also started with a fine win in division one with Chris Parker taking all three singles.

Last years division three champions made a fine start in division two with a 7-3 win over Methley with Junior Daniel Adams winning all three of his singles. The division two battle of Pudsey C and Pudsey D ended with honours even despite Paul Noutch winning all three for the D team.

With the expansion of the club Pudsey after a couple of seasons away from the Bradford League have entered two teams. The division two side has started impressively winning all their matches. While the division four sides has won one, lost one and drawn one.

Pudsey player 12 year old Nicole Finn continued to impress at the weekend when she had some excellent wins at the Grantham Tournament. Finn in her second season on the tournament circuit is currently ranked 100 in the cadets. With wins over the number twenty four and a junior ranked in the top 50 she should see a rapid rise up the England rankings.
