Pudsey Battling Away On Four Fronts

In the Leeds league this week the A team kept up the battle at the top of the league with a convincing 9-1 victory over Victoria.  Pudsey B did the A team no favours as they succumbed to the A teams nearest rivals Dewsbury 10-0.  This allowed Dewsbury to pull a set back and with both teams level on points this division may be decided on sets.

The battle between the E and F team for Division 3 continues to run, with the E team currently top by a point. This week the E team secured a 6-4 victory over Yeadon flyers thanks to two wins each by Nicola Smith and Artur Kulas and one by James Atkins. The doubles was the turning point of the game as Pudsey using the experience of Smith and the youth of Atkins produce a 3-0 win. The F team kept up the pressure on them with a comfortable 8-2 victory over Yorkshire Bank.

In division four the H team maintained there position in second place one point behind the leaders Horsforth with a 9-1 victory over Sulzer. They could go top of the division if they win their game in hand.

Pudsey J who had a three point lead at the top of division six made their title bid a bit more difficult this week when they were held to a draw by Yorkshire Bank. David Wood won two matches and Kingsley Smith and Paul Scurrah one each. Smith and Scurrah combining to win the vital doubles match.
