Pudsey Reach Cup Final

Pudsey A team having won the first division last week are now aiming for a league and cup double. This week they cruised into the final of the Jacques Shield with a 5-0 victory over Leeds Judean. As the defending champions of the Jacques Shield and unbeaten all season in the league it would be a major shock if they failed to achieve the double.
In division two this week Pudsey C hit the top of the league with a 7-3 victory over Yorkshire Bank.  Pudsey C currently top by a point face second place Judean C and victory will see them as champions. A draw may be good enough but Pudsey E or Methley may gate crash the party on sets depending on their results.
It was the last weekend of the National cadet League on Sunday in Bradford saw Pudsey   B team of Ellen Auty, Jordan Gornall and Reuben Hainsworth finish the series in division two in runner up spot. On the day Pudsey won three matches and drew two with Reuben on his debut winning nine out of his ten individual singles.  An inexperience Pudsey A team lost 9-0 to both Halifax and Bradford Fastbat’s A team. In their last match the boy’s team of Matthew Hull, Reece Bell and Edward Hollingsworth played excellently to beat Bradford Fastbat’s B team 7-2 with seven of the matches decided in the fifth end.
