Parker in Good Form
Pudsey A team maintained their challenge for the Leeds Division One title with a comfortable win over Pudsey B. Richard Smith currently top of the individual averages was done no favours by B team player Chris Parker who produced his top form to give Smith only his second lost of the season. Parker took this good form into the Senior Grand prix at Doncaster at the weekend reaching the semi-final of the men’s band four losing to Graeme Barella of Sunderland.
Other results in the league saw Pudsey J current leaders of Division Six maintaining the status quo by beating the K team 7-3 with Kingsley Smith winning all three. Fast improving twelve year old Jack Taylor made the J team work all the way winning two matches including a fine win over currently fifth in the individual averages David Wood.
The H team, currently equal top of the league in Division Four, did their sets average no harm at all with a convincing 9-1 victory over Depuy B. In Division Three the current leaders the F team could only manage a draw with Depuy A despite Sandra Rider winning all three including a fine win over the league’s top individual averages player Adrian Worth.
